Mountain Hare
With our increasingly mild winters, the mountain hares of the Peak District aren't turning as white as they used to. This study is from a specimen I picked up from the roadside in the 1990's...and brought back to life with the power of paint! Mountain hares have easier proportions to portray than our lowland brown hare, with more forgiving fur and smaller ears!
