The Primrose Bank

The Primrose Bank

The primrose bank depicted here is near to where my late mother used to live in North Yorkshire. Although only completed this year,  I sketched and thought out the painting in May 2016, the last time I visited my mother. For this reason the painting has an emotional attachment for me.

A green woodpecker makes his way up the bank. the top of which sits a hare. A robin sits tight on her newly hatched eggs.
