Goldcrests and Conference Pear

Taking a bird or animal out of it's natural habitat and placing it with a ccompletely unrelated item and yet making the whole composition believable, is possibly my favourite ways of painting.
In this case, I started with the pear, bought from the Farm Shop and picked the goldcrests as a colour compliment then worked them together to make the picture work as one.
